Linksys Wireless-G WVC200 Internet Camera

The Linksys WVC200 Wireless-G Pan/Tilt/Zoom IP Video Camera lets you transmit security video over the internet live, making your footage viewable from anywhere in the world.

The WVC200 Internet camera offers image compression in two forms. MPEG-4 compression allows for quality streaming video over a variety of bandwidths, including low-bandwidth devices like dial-up modems and mobile networks. MJPEG compression provides high quality streams for larger bandwidths like corporate offices and universities.

The comprehensive video features include an Infrared (IR) filter which allow you to see images in low or no light when an IR lamp is used. Snapshots (in JPEG format) of security footage can be taken and saved. Snapshots can also be scheduled and sent to an FTP server.

The WVC200's wireless capabilities enable you to transmit footage from your security system over the internet, and you have the choice to make your footage public, or protect with password protected accounts. The pan, tilt, and digital zoom functions are also accessible from remote locations, allowing you to control camera movement and focus when you're away.

Software is included for multiple security camera monitoring and recording to your hard drive with advanced search by time and date. Recording can be set up to record by motion trigger, manual or schedule recording and playback on Windows Media Player without the need for a proprietary player.

The WVC200 comes with software, allowing for the monitoring of multiple cameras, recording to hard drive, and advanced searching of recorded footage. You may customize your recording to occur on a schedule, or when motion is detected by the camera. The motion detectors in the camera can also record in Security Mode, which will send footage to up to three email addresses when motion is detected.
