Cisco Announces New Surveillance Camera at ISC West
Cisco Systems is arguably one of the biggest names in network systems, With products that are pushing evolution of technology and our ideas of networking every day. This week at ISC west, Cisco announced its first foray into the video surveillance business - with the Video Surveillance IP Camera, an indoor or outdoor pan/tilt/zoom surveillance camera with wireless and ethernet connectivity, encryption capabilties, and integrated storage and management platforms.

Axis and Cisco partner up for sophisticated network video solutions
It was announced earlier this week that network communications leader Cisco has joined the Axis Application Development Partner program. The collaboration allows Cisco to integrate support for Axis IP video products in its effort to build fully integrated network video surveillance solutions.

Cisco combines physical and network security tools to enhance school safety
At a recent Campus Safety Conference, Cisco reported on the importance of combined physical and networked security infrastructures in today's k-12 schools, colleges and universities. Cisco, the network systems giant, stresses that schools should recognize the two infrastructures should work together rather than independently of one another. This means access control, IP surveillance, alarm systems, and other security tools, all operating as one on the same network.
