Panasonic reveals made-for-TV surveillance system
Panasonic recently introduced two new security cameras, the VL-CM140KT and VL-CM160KT, both of which work in conjunction with the Panasonic VIERA flat-screen TV. Yes, now you can watch video surveillance footage from the comfort of your couch. The cameras communicate with the TV via a local area network (LAN). High-quality images can be viewed on screen using the remote control. Both cameras are designed for outdoor use, making the system ideal for monitoring private property and providing home security.
The Panasonic VL-CM140KT and VL-CM160KY are fixed focus cameras, each with a 1/4-inch CMOS image sensor. Both are weatherproof, and the VL-CM160KT includes a light. The cameras, which will be available at the end of April, are compatible a large selection of Panasonic VIERA flat-screen TV models.
