Commerzbank banks on MOBOTIX IP cameras for its video surveillance needs
Commerzbank, one of the largest financial institutions in Germany, and the world, is looking to enhance the video security of its 820 branches with the implementation of IP-based surveillance. The bank has already conducted several pilot programs using MOBOTIX IP cameras, and is now looking to install the cameras in many of its current and future branches.
Video surveillance plays a critical role in Commerzbank's comprehensive security plan. The bank now uses MOBOTIX IP cameras for a variety of surveillance applications in and around its facilities. With bank ATMs available to customers 24 hours a day, the cameras can monitor the machines in order to protect customers and prevent illegal activity. MOBOTIX dome cameras are used to monitor bank interiors, with different lenses available for varying needs. The cameras have also been integrated with an intruder detection alarm system.
IP surveillance is a powerful tool for banks for a number of reasons. IP cameras are easy to install, provide continuous surveillance, and offer high-resolution images that can be critical in identifying criminal suspects in a bank setting. The MOBOTIX IP cameras employed by Commerzbank also offer remote video monitoring, support two-way audio, and have low bandwidth requirements.
