Sydney Airport upgrades to Axis IP surveillance system
The Sydney International Airport recently upgraded its surveillance system from analog to digital cameras - seeking a quality security system to protect what is widely regarded as one of the finest airports in the world.
The new system, an IP camera system with more than 1000 cameras, replaces the old analog-and-coaxial cable system that served the airport for years. The 1000 cameras feed into a Honeywell management system for monitoring and centralized management.
Another plus of the new surveillance system at the Sydney Airport is integration. The new Axis IP video system is integrated with the airport's existing security and access control systems, making the new system comprehensively secure.
The convenience and flexibility of Axis IP cameras makes Sydney's new security system dynamic - easy to upgrade and shift to changing need. A more configurable system and more access to data means that not only is it more convenient, it's more secure as well - critical for airports everywhere.
