Pixim and GE team up for ultra-wide mini-dome cameras with dynamic range
Pixim announced today that its Orca chipset has been selected to power GE Security's new line of UltraView XP3 ultra-wide mini-dome security cameras. The cameras will also use Pixim's Digital Pixel System image capture technology for consistent performance in challenging lighting conditions, including low-light situations.
The UltraView XP3 mini-dome series employs wide dynamic range technology that is especially effective in locations with extreme backlight, such as reception lobbies, retail stores, and loading docks. The biggest attribute of these cameras is their ability to capture information from highlights and shadows at the same time, while also delivering natural color.
