Mexican transport firm turns to DVTel and HID Global for unified video surveillance and access control
Transportes Aguila de Oro, a Mexican transport firm which ships cargo throughout North America, was in need of a unified video surveillance and access control solution to secure its offices and shipping terminals. The firm chose a system that utilizes the DVTel intelligent Security Operations Center in conjunction with access control readers from HID Global. The entire system, from the security cameras to the access control components, is entirely IP-based.
100 IP network cameras and 75 access control points comprise the system which secures several buildings located in three separate cities. The unified video and access control system protects the firm from potential terrorist threats and other dangers by providing effective access control and continuous video monitoring of cargo and cargo loading. Security cameras monitor all entrances, exits, loading docks, and other high security areas, while the access control system limits access in restricted areas to authorized individuals. Along with enhancing security, the system is also used to track time and attendance.
