Linksys unveils WVC2300 and PVC2300 security cameras for small businesses
Linksys recently added a pair of new surveillance cameras to its line of security products for small businesses. The Wireless-G Business Internet Video Camera with Audio (WVC2300) and the Business Internet Video Camera with Audio and PoE (PVC2300) are both designed with the small business owner in mind.
Each of these cameras is loaded with features and comes in a standard box camera design that includes flexible mounting options. The PVC2300 is equipped for Power over Ethernet (PoE), which means it can draw power and transmit video over a single Ethernet cable. For businesses using a secure wireless network, the WVC2300 is the ideal choice as it operates wirelessly and requires only standard AC power.
The cameras support interchangeable CS-mount lenses, allowing the user to customize with wide-angle, zoom, auto-iris, vari-focal, and other lenses, depending on their surveillance needs. Each camera features a progressive scan CCD sensor for high-quality video even in low-light conditions. Both the PVC2300 and WVC2300 support two-way audio, MPEG-4 and MJPEG compression, remote video monitoring, and mobile surveillance. Other highlights include motion detection, email alerts, and integration with existing alarm systems.
