Axis and Cisco partner up for sophisticated network video solutions
It was announced earlier this week that network communications leader Cisco has joined the Axis Application Development Partner program. The collaboration allows Cisco to integrate support for Axis IP video products in its effort to build fully integrated network video surveillance solutions.
One of Cisco's goals in teaming up with Axis is to offer solutions that will assist customers in their transition from analog surveillance to hybrid systems, on up to fully IP-based video security. By building standards-based security solutions with an open architecture, Cisco aims to meet the diverse needs of customers in a wide range of markets including government, education, finance, transportation, and retail.
Participants in Axis' Application Development Partner program collaborate with Axis on marketing opportunities, and share software and market intelligence.
