AT&T launches Remote Monitor service for small businesses
AT&T has entered the video surveillance fray with a new monitoring service geared towards small businesses. The AT&T Remote Monitor service is a package deal that includes IP-based security cameras and environmental sensors. The system can be programmed to automatically send emergency alerts based on motion, temperature changes, or water levels stemming from leaks or flooding. Alerts can be received on wireless handheld devices or on any PC with Web access.
The goal of the AT&T Remote Monitor service is to provide small business owners with a convenient way to keep watch over their businesses. The package can be upgraded to include multiple cameras, PTZ cameras, and a DVR for recording and storing up to 30 days worth of video footage.
