Pro One's e-Secure system takes web-based security to the house
Protection One recently introduced a new web-based home security system designed to provide homeowners with remote access via computer, PDA, and text-enabled cell phone. The e-Secure system, along with offering remote operation, delivers email and text message alerts to users.
The general public's increasing reliance on portable devices and mobile technology makes this a logical move in terms of home security. The ability to receive alerts while away from home is assuring to many property owners. And the system isn't designed simply for detecting intruders and serious emergencies. Parents can even program e-Secure to alert them that their children have safely returned home from school. It's literally an interactive security system.
Business owners and managers can also use e-Secure to arm security systems in up to four branch locations remotely.
The system, which is based on Honeywell's Total Connect product could soon include video as well, offering users remote video monitoring in addition to alarm notification.
