Mexico City Airport beefs up security with Axis cameras and Bioscrypt biometric access control
The Mexico City International Airport isn't cutting corners when it comes to security. Recently, the airport announced plans to install an integrated access control solution that combines cutting-edge biometric technology with IP-based access control and video surveillance. The new system will focus primarily on restricting access to high-security areas such as communications rooms, power facilities and the data center, along with controlling all access points to the recently opened Terminal 2.
Bioscrypt's V-Smart identity verification solution will be used to strengthen the level of access control with biometric readers placed in key areas throughout the terminal. The V-Smart readers will ensure that the airport's most sensitive areas can only be accessed by authorized personnel. Also integrated with the system will be Lenel's IP-based access control platform and video software, Axis IP network cameras, and HID iClass smart cards.
