Armida and BlueWave hook up for "Security in a Box"
A new collaboration between Armida Technologies and BlueWave Security aims to integrate video security and access control into one pretty package. Armida is a manufacturer of wireless streaming video products, while BlueWave puts its focus on wireless access control. The joint system will integrate video into BlueWave's access control software package, and will utilize Armida controllers. They're calling it a "video and access control solution in a box."
By integrating video security with access control, the system offers some obvious benefits, for instance, users will be able to follow the path of an individual through a building, both with audit information as well as video footage.
The security package will include BlueWave NextGen Door Controllers along with the Armida Security Controller, a selection of security cameras, and a CD containing system software. A single user interface will manage the entire security system.
Expect the product to be released in early 2008.
