Axis unveils ultra-compact fixed dome network cameras
With the release of the ultra-compact Axis 209FD and Axis 209MFD, Axis communications has brought fixed dome network cameras down to size. The diminutive domes are ideal for any location where an unobtrusive video surveillance solution is required.
The cameras, which measure a mere 4 cm in height, operate using Power over Ethernet and can be easily mounted to ceilings or walls. Megapixel technology enables the Axis 209FD and 209MFD to zero in on specific details such as faces and individual objects, while simultaneous Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 compression allows for high-quality video streams that don't hoard bandwidth.
